The Merit Difference

By 2019, we are all too familiar with the advantages technology can bring into our lives. With information at the tip of our fingers, it can come as a shock when faced with unforeseen technical issues. But there is one thing technology can never replace and that is people.

Two months ago, our insurance management system was compromised. Although there was never a privacy breach nor was any of our clients’ information comprised, the system shutdown and wreaked havoc on our daily operations.

We at Merit Insurance pride ourselves in a personalized and human connection with each and every client. Our motto was put to the test in a recent technical issue impacting our system. We are more confident than ever in the ‘Merit Difference’, and the importance of working one on one with your Merit broker.

During unexpected events, what does the Merit difference mean for you?

  • Business Continuity: Our staff is still able to receive client calls and customers are able to access all of their information on the MyMerit app.
  • Dedication: Our client’s needs remains our top priority. Whether it is manually entering quotes, or physically looking through old paper files, our Merit brokers remain committed to any client request.
  • Adaptable: Despite the standard of operations being affected, we have adopted innovative approaches to ensure the business continues as usual.
  • Personalized: System challenges or not, when you speak with your Merit broker they are familiar with you and your history. The relationships we build are based on the connection between one broker and the client, and not just the information stored online.

Technology may be the way of the future; one which Merit will continue to embrace, BUT with that, it will also come to its challenges. One thing you can always count on is the dedication from your Merit broker, this is the Merit Difference.
